Adrienne Nix

Borough Councillor for Welham Green & Hatfield South

Many thanks for electing me to be your councillor for South Hatfield and Welham Green, and I promise to do my very best to make it the best place it can be.

Listening to people on the doorstep, it is clear that the main issues in the area are Fly-tipping, litter, bin collections-lack off, insufficient recycling centres, parking on verges, potholes etc. among many of the overwhelming national issues which are affecting individuals at the moment.

Coming from a farming and rural background, I am passionate about looking after the areas we live in as I realise the effects it has on our mental wellbeing. This is why I do regular litter picks and have reported numerous fly-tipping to the council already this year. I am happy to hear from you about any suggestions of ways to curb the fly-tipping situation. I feel we all need to partake in maintaining our lovely open spaces that we are fortunate to have around us.

Hatfield is a more diverse community than Welham Green and with the ever-increasing housing developments in Hatfield, especially at the Hilltop and town centre, we need to change the status quo and challenge the lack of social amenities being excluded in these new developments.

I am always happy to hear from you at Adrienne.nix@welhat.gov.uk
