Try a different Advent calendar this year!
This year, Welwyn Hatfield Liberal Democrats are supporting our local food banks through a "reverse advent calendar". It's a simple way to support those who need a little extra help during the festive period.
Just put aside a box and on each day of Advent add a food item. It's a great way to reflect the true spirit of Christmas giving. Some of our members will be involving the whole family in choosing items to donate.
What items are needed?
Non-perishable food items, such as canned or dried food. You are welcome to include a few Christmas items if you are able to deliver them to the food bank in time for the final session before Christmas (see below for dates). Please bear in mind that some items may not be distributed until the New Year.
When can I make my donation?
If you are happy to finish your reverse advent calendar a little early, you are very welcome to take it to the food bank in time for the final session before Christmas. Otherwise, your donations will still be needed and very much appreciated in January.Where do I take my Advent box?
Once you’ve filled your box, please deliver it to your chosen local food bank:
